Bolam Lake

Bolam Lake in Northumberland is a great place to walk year round. It's easily accessible for all ages and abilities. Also very dog friendly with plenty of wildlife to see. For anyone into it there are some well hidden GeoCaches there.

Aviemore

Aviemore in the Cairngorms is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I took the above video just outside of Aviemore centre on the way to the Cairngorm mountain using a DJI Phantom. We tend to go there as a family every two years and have become quite taken by the place. The main mountain to climb is the Cairngorm itself, the views from the top are tremendous: The Highland Wildlife Park is one of the coolest Zoos I have ever been to. It's not like normal Zoos, it has a safari, and is based on the side of a mountain. It's awesome, we love the place, there is such a varied selection of animals:

Bikes are just more fun

Bikes are just more fun, you hear more, you feel more, you see more. I thought I would share some photos I have taken over the past few years since getting a bike. Triumph Tiger 800XC Street Art in Sunderland One of the cool things about the bike is not only the sense of freedom, but the ability to get into areas that would be harder in a car. The new 800XC is going to be my attempt to go more "offroad" and get to some places with more scenic views. Seaton Delaval Hall My old 2015 CB1000R The CB1000R was a hoot, it took me to Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, up into the depths of Scotland, across the Lake District and all over the local Dales. I had a small carbon addiction with this one My Honda Hornet 900 was my first proper "big" bike and I LOVED it, it was only a chance test ride on the the CB1000R that made me sell it. Kirkstone Pass with my best mate. On the left his Aprillia Mana 850, on the right my old Honda Hornet

My photography

Really like photography, mainly in relation to the other activities I do. The fact that you can capture one single moment in time, something astonishing/intriguing/surprising, is the reason I like it so much. The above is a male Crested Gecko (or Spike if you are a friend) he changes colour at night, mainly between night and day.
